    NEW NIKON D3 CAMERA!!!

I am one of the first in Arizona to receive the new Nikon D3. It just went on sale today and Nikon was nice enough to send one to a local store with my name on it!

This camera is amazing and will totally change how I work with light on a wedding day or portrait shoot. It produces beautiful photos in dim situations without having to use flash which is great. It also has an entirely new full-frame CMOS sensor that Nikon engineered.

So even though the last two days have been tough for me (another post to come) I'm stoked about using this camera at my wedding tomorrow. It's been raining all day today and will do the same tomorrow but I'm not worried because I picked up 6 umbrellas for the bridal party to use and my new camera is all weather-sealed and will do just fine in the rain. We're going to get some great photos out in the rain!

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. We've got a lot to announce in the next few months!

Have fun with the new toy JT! :)

That is an amazing camera for sure, I love Canon and wouldn't consider switching, but part of me is a little jealous of you. :)

Can't wait to see what you get with it!

I love the bottle of wine too - reason to celebrate for sure now that Nikon has made a body that competes with the 5D :-) Just kidding JT!!

Yes, I could have gotten a couple Canon 5Ds but they don't even compare. And for the record I have the 1D Mark III that I'm selling because this camera does an even better job!

well I just finished photographing today's wedding with it and the camera performed wonderfully. I'll have a link to the wedding slideshow up later. But if you'd like my initial review go check out the post on OpenSourcePhoto.com in the Nikon and Canon category.

I was a bridesmaid at the wedding this weekend. I'm bummed we didn't get to use the umbrellas. Sounds like a great idea! You did a great job - thanks for everything!

So was this image taken with the D3 giving us the illusion of the camera still in the box??
