    Shannon and Dustin Engagment Session

What a great time!!! Saturday afternoon/evening Shannon, Dustin and I went out to take some fun engagement photos.
We had a wonderful time running around and finding a few fun places to take some pictures. My favorite has to be the old auto shop that we shot in front of. It just had such a cool look with the garage doors and brick walls.

    Here's that cool auto shop:

Thanks Shannon and Dustin for such a fun time!!

    Alex and Cascade..best friends!

I had a great time on Saturday taking senior portraits for Alex and Cascade. This was my first try at taking senior portraits and I think they came out good! Of course, I'm not talking the typical senior portraits. I don't care for the 'stand by the tree' all even lighting, everything looks fake pictures. My goal is to take pictures that represent who the person really is. I try to allow them to direct me instead of me directing them on where to stand and 'tilt your head a little more'. That's just not me. But that's ok! I'm here to be the one that is 'different'. I don't want to be like those other guys. And I think many people enjoy that!

    Aren't these great!!

    A New Beginning

Tonight (Sunday) I had the wonderful privilege to join a group of amazing people that all want to be part of a church plant based in the east valley.
A while back Scott Swanson left his church job and has now decided to begin a church in the east valley that will engage the post-modern society and show them God's love. Another wonderful man Steve Robinson has decided to jump on board and help lead with Scott. Both of these men have a wonderful passion for Christ and for the new emerging culture that is taking root. I just wanted to take a few images tonight to be able to document this wonderful night. I know that God will work in amazing ways through this group. And may we be willing to do the uncomfortable while knowing that God is leading us down a great path!

    Shootin' with Ken Krehbiel

Ken invited me to come and shoot with him yesterday at a wedding and of course I said YES! I've really enjoyed being able to join Ken on a number of photo shoots (commercial/wedding). He's such a fun guy to be around and is totally up to trying new things. Which I'm sure he has no choice of when I'm around! Thanks Ken!! :-)
One goal that we had was to put together a slideshow during the reception of some pictures taken earlier that day. It was to be the first attempt for both of us. So while Ken continued to shoot during the reception I started to download the pictures and edit them. It was so difficult to decide which pictures to include because even though you are wanting to tell the whole story of the day you just don't have time to edit that many pictures. So I trimmed it down to I think 58 images (still way too many) and set up the slideshow over where many people would pass by...the bar! Right away people were starting to stand around it. I could easily say that at one moment there were at least 15 people all standing around it trying to view the pictures. We could hear so many people say 'those are great' 'wow' 'oh, look!' 'so cute'. It definitely helped confirm how important it will be for me to do this at any wedding that I book.
Here's a pic of the crowd at one moment:

I wish Ken and I had taken a better picture of us together than this, but here's one of us chimping!

THANKS again ken for such a fun night!!

    Laura & Troy

WOW...what a great night, last night!! I had a wonderful time at Laura & Troy's wedding. Ken invited me to come shoot with him at a wedding...and what a blessing it was! I had a great time photographing the guys. We had a little fun with a few group shots inspired by David Jay. They have so much more life to them!!
Here's some of the guys shots:

Here's the ring bearer and his father:

Laura was beautiful and you could definitely tell that Troy was totally in love with her.

Thanks again for such a fun day/night!! May God bless you both!

    Bel Air...Whitney & Jesse

I had the privilege to shoot with David Jay and Tim Halberg last weekend at the Bel Air Bay Club. I had so much fun hanging out with those guys!
Here are a few pictures from the wedding.

Whitney & Jesse your wedding was BEAUTIFUL!! Thanks so much for all of the fun!
DJ & Tim thanks again for letting me join you...I had such a fun time hanging with you guys!

    Chimping with the Pros

Here's a few shots of David Jay and Tim chimping away at the Bel Air wedding.
It was definitely more dificult to catch Tim over David. Tim was always up to something...

And here's a good shot of Tim. We had a shoot off right before this.

    Thanks for the fun guys!

    PartnerCon...What a blast!!

Last week was Amazing!! First of all the week started with the Pictage PartnerCon. What a fun time it is to have a few hundred photographers together to learn and party!
There was a huge group of guys that all had their laptops out while we were waiting for the conference to start.

The night before the conference started a bunch of us from the OpenSourcePhoto forum got together to finally meet in person. We all had a great time finally matching up small avatar pictures with actual people. Thanks so much to Alisha for getting us all together!!

The next night after the first day of conference Pictage threw us a wonderful party as well. And of course there were plenty of photos to be taken!
Here's a pic of Tim before he sported his balloon cowboy hat.
And here's a fabulous shot of Frank!

And I really liked this shot I took of one of the event photographers using a Fong Flash diffuser.

Thanks to all for a fabulous conference! DJ and Dane you guys rocked it in your break-out sessions!! You seem to keep me constantly thinking of change and always motivated to make the changes!
And I have to also say that is was fabulous to meet so many others there...Greg, Sean, Kurt, Tim, Luke, Frank, Kim, Alisha, Liana, MaryJane, wow...I can't believe I remembered that many names...although there are way too many that I forgot! I'll try to add them as my memory comes back!

    Just Married...hmm...

On another note...at Jordan & Josh's wedding...the bride and groom from my June wedding were attending this wedding as well. I thought I would take a couple photos of how much FUN marriage has been!!! Great Idea right??...

    well...they didn't look too happy...

JUST KIDDING!!! They are having a wonderful time!! They actually came up with the idea for the shot above...

I'm having a wonderful time attending church with them in Scottsdale and this pic is more of what I see from them...

Thanks again for inviting me to Scottsdale Bible...I've had a blast!!

    Jordan and Josh

Well I've finally taken time to edit a few photos that I took at a friends wedding. I kept the pic limited to just my friends so that I didn't get in the way of the photographer. A bunch of us from Starbucks have worked with Jordan for a while, so we had a wonderful time at the wedding. It was beautiful!! Probably the most roses I've seen at a wedding!

    Here's the Starbucks crews!!

    And the Starbucks girls!

Preston never showed up...and is in lots of trouble now. Here's the best picture we could get of the two of them together!!

    Jordan's sister Alex...
Jannesey was all dressed up to dance :-)

Jordan and Josh, Thanks SO much we had a blast at the wedding and were so happy to be there to support you both!! Have fun up in Flagstaff! We love you both!!!
