    Hey Everybody!!
Some exciting news...I've been busy building a slideshows page that will have my most recent wedding and portrait events on it.
It's now online and I wanted to invite you all to come and take a look at it.

    Just go here: Slideshows Page

I'm still working on it all, so currently it will forward you to the pictage.com site once you view the slideshow, but soon enough I'll have that all fixed.

    Happy Turkey Day!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

I was just happy to not be working at Starbucks like I had been the past 6 years.

We had a small gathering at Mom's house this year, which was a nice break from the craziness of past years.
Here is a small video of Mom and I at the dinner table:

    Angelic Grove...The Heart Ball

Got a call on Friday from a company that creates all of the settings and flowers for very large events. They were in need of a photographer last minute and had a friend of theirs refer me.
This weekend they were doing the Arizona Heart Ball and wanted it documented, so I was happy to help them out.
Here are a few of the shots from the location. It was beautiful and was simply impossible to try and capture the true feeling of the room.

Ok, and these tables were the coolest!! They had neon lights inside.

    Beautiful event!!

    Hangin' with Ken

I tagged along with Ken for another wedding. It definitely wasn't normal wedding photography. I would refer to it as Extreme Wedding Photography!! We did everything in 2 1/2 hours!!! It was so crazy I don't even remember their first names....I feel so bad about that by the way. :-(
It was pretty cool that all of the guys wore kilts though!!

And of course I got a decent shot of Ken chimping! We were both laying in the grass trying to shoot a really good sky shot with the bride and groom when I caught him chimping.

Thanks for another crazy event Ken!!! ;-P

    A Nice Note

I recieved a nice email from my first bride today. She is a close friend and has definitely supported and encouraged me in going full-time with photography. So I have her and God to thank for where I am today. It's super encouraging to hear these things from the people that I have worked for.

    Here's the email:

    Hey JT,

I finally looked at your slideshow and it is
AWESOME (not to mention, done to one of my favorite
songs)!! It's hard for me to believe that you could
actually get better from our wedding. But you have!
You're getting better and better with each wedding and
I was very amazed by the slideshow! Awesome job! By
the way, just because you've gotten better, doesn't
mean I'm any less content with my pictures. They're
    still my favorite.
    :-)

    Thanks Bre!!

Brandon Alexander Salon - Grand Opening

Yesterday was crazy!! I was trying to get to editing an engagement session from the night before while getting ready for a shoot later that day. It definitely all worked out wonderfully!
So yesterday's shoot was for a new salon opening up off of Indian School and 48th Street. It's called Brandon Alexander Salon & Spa, named after the salon owner's son. I was there to take some promotional shots of everybody getting their hair done and some headshots of the hair models. I wasn't quite sure what to do at first, but it all seemed to work out great! I put together a slideshow during the open house and had it on display. Everybody loved it! It was great meeting everybody there and having something new and challenging to photograph.

Here's the slideshow for the event: Brandon Alexander Salon & Spa

    Amy and Luke!! You rock!!

So on Friday I met up with Amy and Luke and we shot their engagment session in downtown Phoenix. It definitely worked out great!
I have to tell this story cause I think its funny. After the shoot I went out to dinner and a movie with a friend but I recieved a call from Luke right before the movie started. He said, "Hey bro, what are you doing? We've been going to your blog every ten minutes waited for you to post some pictures." I just thought it was funny. I know a number of friends and family that check my blog each week, and they all know that I usually post pictures right after the event happened. I needed a break that night!
Just got a kick out of that!

Ok, Luke and Amy!! Here's just some of your great pics!

Shannon and Dustin sitting in a tree...

...Married, and as happy as could be!!

Yesterday was AWESOME!!! I had so much fun! These guys are wonderful friends and I definitely felt privileged that they chose me to capture the day for them.
I was such a beautiful wedding! And one little tid-bit. They had promised not to kiss until their wedding day. So, as you can imagine they were eager to have at it at the altar.

Thanks for being so much fun to work with!!!!

    Tomorrow's the BIG day!

Tonight I was invited Shannon and Dustin's rehearsal dinner. I had a great time meeting everybody and seeing some other friends.
    Dinner was a YC's Mongolian BBQ which is AWESOME!! It's a make-your-own stir-fry place!

Here's one of the purses that Shannon was giving to her bridemaids. Isn't it cool!

And of course the flower girl was lovin' the ice cream and attention!

    Can't wait til tomorrow guys!!

    Washington Finale!

Well I'm finally getting around to finishing up my Washington trip posts. Tuesday I headed back home.

D.C. was such an amazing city to visit! I loved my time there.
I'm still amazed at all of the history that I saw in a few day. To think of who once walked where I stepped. It definitely made me appreciate my American heritage even more.

If any of you ever have time to visit D.C. it's definitely worth it! And I hear from my sister and brother-in-law that it is a wonderful place to honeymoon.

    Washington, D.C. Part 4

This is just a quick message to let all of you know that I posted my final update to the slideshow from Washington, D.C.
Check it out and let me know what you think: D.C. SLIDESHOW

Also, I happened to be sitting in a Starbucks when Rosa Parks' procession came through the city. Her hurst was followed by an old city bus which I thought was a great idea.

Ok, well I'm super tired so I'll have to wait til tomorrow to post my final thoughts and pics from Washington.
