    Only in Orange County!

I meant to post the a couple weeks ago.

I was driving down the street while in California the other week, making my normal run to Starbucks when I noticed this guy on the other side of the road.
I wasn't quite sure what the sign said when I first passed it, but I knew it would be an interesting photo. So, when I left Starbucks I had my camera in my hand while driving and did my best to capture this shot.

Only in California would you have a business man all dressed up holding a Garage Sale sign. I was laughing so hard!!
And it wasn't a cool day out, I'm sure he was hot standing in the sun.

    December in AZ

I'm always reminded of why I still live in Arizona once the winter season comes around.

    (the day after Christmas)

Christmas Day it was 75 degrees outside, but I almost wished that it had gotten overcast and cold just for the day.
I hope all of you are having a wonderful Winter season!!

    Merry Christmas!!!!

I hope you all had a great Christmas!!
    I had a great time!

On Christmas Eve I went over to my dad's house and we celebrated that night. We all had a great time as you can see below.

Then on Christmas Day my brother and I went over to my mom's house. We were happy to have a great photographer friend of mine Bruce Steffine join us for our traditional Christmas fondue dinner.

(from left, Mom, Bruce, Me!, sister Heather and husband Ryan, Grandpa Eddy, brother Darren)

I love Christmas!! I love remembering why we celebrate it. It's such a joyous thing to remember how God sent Christ to the earth so that we may all receive forgiveness for our sins. I'm so glad to know Him!!

Everyone have a happy New Years!! I've got more pics coming soon!!

    A Friend Proposes!!!

So tonight I had the privilege of being part of my friend Alvin's plan of proposing to his girlfriend. Darius, Nicole and I arrived at the elevator that they first met in and got it all setup for them.

Then Alvin showed up with Silvana blindfolded and walked her into the elevator where he proposed as it traveled to the top floor.
At the top I was there to capture a few pictures for them to remember this moment by.

Alvin, thanks so much for letting me be part of this awesome moment for the two of you!!
Congratulations!! And may God bless you both!!
    And Merry Christmas!!!!

    Santa Barbara is Cool!

I made a drive up to Santa Barbara yesterday with Greg Bumatay and we met up with Amy, Tim, Dane, Michael and Anna Costa and Jordan.

We had a great time having lunch at Plazzios and talking with each other about our photo businesses. Everyone we met with are amazing photographers and I'm blessed to know all of them.

We also talked about our business goals for next year. I hadn't thoroughly thought about what my goals were until they asked me. I'm still working on more specific goals, but it definitely helped gear me up for this new year.

It sounds like I'll have to post soon about all of the goals that I have for this next year...

Thanks to all of you in SB who came to hang out with us! You are all so awesome!!

    Crazy Film Shoot...in Cali

Ok, so for those of you who don't know... I'm out of town for a little over a week.
I'm out in the Orange County area of Cali and I was shooting production stills for a friend's short film.
It was a tiring two days and I haven't had time to edit many photos, so I just picked some random ones that don't really pertain to the film, but they just seemed like fun shots.
I'll be editing many more soon, and will keep posting others up as well as a slideshow or two.

    1. From a scene inside the cab (shooting from outside)

    2. NY Taxi rented from a props company, and our crazy camera rigging.
We towed the cab for all of the inside-the-cab scenes.

3.Our lovely Brian Hall. This is why he's an actor and not crew!

4.Our Cab and Camera Rigging in motion. Minus Pete, who was usually strapped to the hood as well.

    5. Matt Kitchen, writer/director, checking a camera shot.

    6. Matt, inside the cab, directing and running audio while the cab is in tow for the scene

    7. Evan, our sound pro sportin' a 'I Go To Biola' shirt. Risky! j/k

    8. The Money Man, just a fun 'stock photo' shot!

    9. He's In The Money! Brian working out those legs for a scene.

    My California Adventure

I was driving to California this evening and stopped to catch a few pictures.

The blue sky looked great with a few thin clouds.

And the sunset was beautiful as well.

I'm out here to shoot production stills for a short film that a friend is shooting this weekend, so keep coming back cause I'll be updating the blog often this week.

    Jillian and Justin

It's been a little while since I've posted on here, but I haven't been shooting as much lately as I have been processing files.

But I had the wonderful pleasure of tagging along with Ken for another wedding yesterday.
I love being able to refine my skills by joining another photographer for a shoot.

    Jillian and Justin were GREAT!!
I swear Jill looks like Jennifer Aniston at times! What do you think?

I haven't posted much so here are a few to catch up.
Here are some of my favs on a slideshow as well...Jillian and Justin Slideshow

Wow I love this shot of her...

    This one too...

I did a slideshow at the reception to help show others why Ken is such an awesome photographer and the grandmother and mother sat and watched it a few times through.
Seeing tears in their eyes is WAY more payment than I could ever recieve...and it's why I do what I do!!

    Jillian and Justin Slideshow

Thanks Jill and Justin...and Ken for all being such AWESOME people!!!
