    Kari + Kevin

WOW!! Talk about fun!! I had a blast at Kari and Kevin's wedding this weekend.

This couple was hilarious and we got some great shots of them just having a great time with their friends and family.
Thanks for the fun times and have an amazing time on your 2 week honeymoon to a secret (nobody knew where) place. I'm guessing Bangledash!! Sounds like fun!!

    Amy and Luke

I always consider it an amazing blessing when friends ask me to shoot their wedding.

This weekend I photographed Amy and Luke as they joined their lives in marriage. This was probably one of the most exciting weddings that I've photographed so far.
Their wedding was at Harvest Groves in Phoenix, AZ although you would have never know it was Arizona from the pictures. See for yourself!!
(p.s.- sorry, but I couldn't pick my favorites)

    Amy's dress was so beautiful!!!

    Phoenix PUG

We had another great Pictage User Group meeting this month. We had Kim Jarman of Michelle Allen Photography talk about how she got into photography and how she provides a unique experience to her clients. She's another amazing local photographer who I really love learning from. I've shot with her once before and hope to have another chance to hang out at a shoot.

We also had a rep from Pictage come in and speak about all of Pictage's reports so that we can hopefully begin to understand them. Thanks Melissa for helping to explain it all to us and for taking a picture of all of us.

It has been amazing to see the change in all of our businesses since we started this group. It has definitely made all of us better photographers and closer friends. It was especially fun to get together while we were all in Vegas.

    Kayaking

Last week my friend Tegan came for a few days. One of those days we went out to Saguaro Lake on kayaks. I love kayaking even though I haven't had much time to do so since I've started my business. It was nice finally making myself step away from my computer and getting out into God's wonders.

While we were kayaking through the canyon area we heard some noise and all of a sudden an Apache helicopter appeared. It was weaving through the canyon at an amazingly low altitude. I grabbed my camera quick and got this shot.

WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) Conference

The morning after shooting Jamie and Eric's wedding I jumped on a plane flight to Vegas for the WPPI convention. This was SO much fun!!
I got to hang out with so many fun and amazing photographers as well as spend some more time with the Pictage crew who had a booth at the convention.

One of the highlights from the trip was getting to join Jeff Jochum (VP of Marketing at Pictage) and Mike Colon (High-end Photographer in California) at the Ghost Bar on the 55th floor at The Palms Hotel. It was definitely interesting having a bouncer for our section of the club with only 12 people.

Here's a few of us at the club.

I love this picture. At the bottom of the picture is a line of vodka bottles that were at the bar on the edge of the building. In the background is the Bellagio.

I stayed at Bally's right next to Paris which was beautiful at night.

I got to hang out with so many photographers. It was crazy.

Thanks everyone for such a great time and for all of the amazing ideas that all of you shared!!

    Jamie & Eric

April 9th was the beginning of my wedding season and it's been pretty crazy since, but I definitely want to show you some pictures from Jamie and Eric's wedding. It was such a beautiful wedding and I had a great time shooting with Gerard Rodriquez and Bruce Steffine.

Jamie and her bridesmaids got ready at Changes salon in Scottsdale and the ceremony and reception were at the Copperwynd Resort in Fountain Hills.

    Newsletter Fix

Well I just realized that I messed up a couple links in my monthly newsletter.

I listed an article from Destination I Do magazine, but the link to the file was bad. So, here's the link to Personal Wedding Web Sites.
