Norah Jones - Not Too Late

I was busy editing today and I needed something new in my music library. So while I was taking my Starbucks break I picked up Norah Jones' new album that came out yesterday. I love it! It's something totally different and I love it!

Saturday night I had a small group of friends over to help celebrate my 25th birthday. We had a great night celebrating and doing photo scavenger hunt.

I've got to clear them off for some birthday cards that are coming in. My birthday is on Saturday and I'll be taking the day off.

For those of you that missed out on my Christmas card this year I've posted what it looked like. I got so many great comments from everyone many who said it was the best card that they had received. I'm glad you all enjoyed it!

Liz and Jason at Grayhawk Golf Club

Liz and Jason were totally blessed by a break in the rain yesterday. I wasn't sure if we'd be shooting in the rain or not so I came prepared with a giant umbrella for them to use if it was raining but the sky opened up over the Grayhawk Golf Club and we were able to capture some wonderful photos.

Seeing each other for the first time that day.

    Some time alone.

    Liz was so beautiful!

This was the first time I had ever seen a cab driver in an accident. Personally I don't know how they pull off half of the crazy moves that they do with out causing an accident but I had never seen one happen.

Just thought that was funny. Ii know its a little hard to see the photo but it is of them both arguing.

The Couple That Started It All

I was sitting at my favorite coffee shop tonight working on some emails when someone started walking up to the window I was sitting near. It was Breanna and Scottie Chanson, the couple who got me started in wedding photography.

It was Scottie's 30th Birthday today and I wanted to wish him a wonderful year in his new decade of life! ;-)

They had asked me for two weeks straight to shoot their wedding and I was just so nervous about it that I kept refusing to do so. But thankfully they talked me into it and now two years later I'm LOVING what I'm doing and so grateful for all of the wonderful people that this business has led me to.

And another cool fact is that Scottie is now a wedding photographer as well. He's busy working for VisionYard Studios.

Here's one of my favorite photos from their wedding. And it's still one of my favorites. I've got it printed as a 20"x30".

It was great seeing both of you again!

    I'm Back!

Well after a week in the Gulf of Mexico I'm finally back to work. This week has already been filled with an endless amount of things to do and I finally had to sit down and write them all out so that I don't forget anything.
Here's my current list with things that still need to be added to it.

So, please be patient with me while I try to catch up on all of my work. And I've also got a ton of emails that still need to be responded to, but I'm also working on that.

    Carrie + Brandon

I'm about to embark onto my Carnival cruise for the week but I wanted to post a few photos from my great wedding this weekend.

The bride and groom invited me to join them at their rehearsal and dinner and I snapped a few fun photos with my point and shoot camera.

    Props to David Jay!

I have to give props to my friend David Jay who just had one of his wedding photos posted on People Magazine's website.

He is seriously an amazing person and photographer. I know of no one else who deserves this kind of recognition more.

    Awesome job DJ!

    Carnival Cruise to Cozumel

I can't wait! I'm spending this entire week trying to catch up with work so that I can head out on a cruise to Cozumel and then Yucatan!

I'll be out from Jan 6th through Jan 14th and won't have phone access, but will hopefully have email.

I'm meeting up with a group of wedding photographers from all over the nation. We're planning to have a few learning sessions on the cruise and I hope to be able to teach a little.

In addition to that I just plan on trying to relax with some margaritas and stay away from my computer as much as I can.

Then it's back to my secret work in progress!

    Superstition Mountain Horse Ride

Last Friday my family and I went out for a horse ride in memory of my grandmother who grew up on a ranch in Wyoming. I always enjoy spending time with my family when I am able to which isn't often enough. Everyone had a wonderful time and we're all looking forward to doing it again.

Overcast skies and some chilly wind but we had a great time
