    Client Love

I love it when I receive emails from satisfied clients. It's hard to know whether people appreciate their photos unless they send in some feedback. But even short emails like this really encourage me and let me know that I am doing what I'm called to do.

Amy and Brian sent this email to me a few days ago.

If you'd like to send in some feedback you can email us HERE.

Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Conference

I was in Las Vegas from Sunday through Thursday this week for the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Conference. I attend this conference each year to gain new ideas and concepts for my photography and business as well as preview some of the newest products.

I had a wonderful time visiting with so many friends that I've known for a while as well as making new friends.

    Autumn Burke

When I arrived on Sunday I met up with Autumn Burke who was the highest bidder for a private mentoring session with me. I'm so glad she was willing to donate some money towards Thirst Relief International for the auction. They recieved over $24,000 for the mentoring sessions and it's going to be amazing to see so many lives changed because of it. Thanks again to all of you who donated your money and time for this amazing cause!

I can't express how glad I am that I teamed up with Pictage a few years ago. They do such a wonderful job printing all of my images. At the conference their booth was setup as a place to gather and refresh with water and snacks while you can sit around and share with each other.

And of course there were plenty of parties to attend.

    Out of the Office

Just to let you all know. I'll be out of the office all of next week to attend the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International conference in Las Vegas.

And I'll be busy photographing Kim and Jason's wedding next weekend. So feel free to contact my studio manager Heather if you need anything while I'm gone!

    Band Photos

Thursday night I headed over to Sugar Daddy's to photograph The Shallow Type playing a set.
I don't normally photgraph bands so it was something fun and different. And before they went on stage I sat them down for a quick photo together.

    Northwest Baggage Sucks

So here's the video of why Troy looked so pissed in the background of the last picture that I posted.

We arrived at 10:12pm on Monday and our bags didn't show up on the baggage carousel until 11pm. We also had two time on our trip where we sat on the plane for 15 minutes for someone to bring over the skybridge. But we'll blame that on Detroit since they're not so cool anyways. ;)

    Getting to DC

I'm traveling with my father, brother Darren and friend Troy to DC this weekend. I've been here before but this will be a first for Darren and Troy.

We connected through Detroit on our red-eye flight leaving Phonenix at 10PM AZ time and arriving in DC at 8AM - Eastern. It was definitely a long night and I'm still recovering from it and all of the walking around on our first day here.

I do have more that I'll keep posting over the weekend. It started snowing tonight and I don't think I've seen snow coming down in over 10 years, it's soo exciting and much better then the wet rain.
    later.

    Photographers Unite!

Well at least for a good meal together...

My friend David Jay came into town and a few of us met up for mexican dinner together at Rancho Tia Rosa's in Gilbert.
In attendance were Marcus Hoffman, Todd O'Driscoll, Todd Watson, myself, Davide Greene, David Jay, Bruce Steffine and Aimee Cooper.

Body Worlds at the Arizona Science Center

Wow! Talk about an amazing exhibition showing the anatomy of human bodies. My grandfather and I went to view Body Worlds 3 today and we both left just amazed at how intricate our bodies are. You also realize just how fragile they are as well.

There are shows in Phonenix, Dallas and Chicago and I would highly recommend going.

    Thirst Relief Auction

This year at WPPI a bunch of photographers will be offering mentoring sessions and donating all the profits to Thirst Relief. Thirst Relief who was started by fellow photographers Jim and Lara Davis-Hicks is an organization who's goal is to provide humanitarian and disaster relief to those in need worldwide through the provision of safe, clean drinking water.

The mentoring sessions last year were the highlight of my trip. I can't wait to meet with whoever wins the bid this year. Last year I sat down with Brody Dezember, Kevin Meyers, Millie Holloman and Davina Fear for some great tips on consistent image branding and marketing.

***Click Here*** if you would like to bid on a 90 minute session with me, or here to check out the awesome list of photographers donating their time for this great cause.

And I forgot to post this earlier so there is only a day or two left to bid.

Rock on! I can't wait to see who I get to meet with!

    Kristin and Jeremy Engagement

This afternoon I met up with Kristin and Jeremy to take some engagement photos. We headed out to Fountain Hills, AZ where the largest fountain in the world is located.

I met Jeremy at the coffee shop that I frequent a few miles from my studio. He and Kristin spend a lot of their time hanging out at the coffee shop together so I thought it was only fitting to take some photos of them over at Goldbar doing their usual thing.
