I had the privilege of photographing my cousin's wedding in Iowa last weekend. I had such a wonderful time seeing family again and being part of the wedding. Here are a few of the great photos!

I can't believe that the weekend is already ending. We had a great time hanging out with family.

Right now we're at the Happy Chef Restaurant which has a huge statue out front which my dad remembers coming to as a child. We're traveling back to Minneapolis right now to catch our flight later tonight.

Hanging out by Okoboji lake in Iowa with my dad and brother today. The weather is much more enjoyable here than in AZ.

The rehearsal is this afternoon and the wedding is tomorrow.

I'm scouting out some good places to take photos.

I just arrived in Minneapolis on my way to Estherville, Iowa to photograph my cousin's wedding. Within 30 minutes of arriving a major thunderstorm rolled in and stopped the airport. I'm currently waiting for a rental car but they aren't letting anyone leave until the worst part of the storm passes.

Speaking at Pictage PartnerCon Again!

I have again been asked to come and speak at Pictage's Partner Conference. Their next conference will be held in Los Angeles, CA.

My topic will cover how photographers can best use their images to excite their clients. I'll go over the different ways that I use use my images to create business without spending thousands of dollars in advertising.

Padres Baseball Game

My dad, brother and I took a guys trip to San Diego this summer. We spent a week at a beach house on South Mission Beach which was awesome!



The second day of our vacation we headed to downtown San Diego for a Padres vs Braves game.

I love how they incorporated the old Western Metal Supply Co. brick building into the design of the new Petco Park. There are seat on each level of that building.


They also had a cool beach sand pit and a wiffle ball field in the outfield for the kids to play in.

Jennifer + Travis Engagement on Coronado Island

While in San Diego I met up with Jennifer and Travis who also traveled out there from Arizona so I could photograph their engagement session in much nicer weather.
We met up on Coronado Island to walk around the city, grab a bite to eat and play at the beach.

We're having dinner tonight at The Fish Market in San Diego. The view of the harbor is amazing and the sunset makes it so beautiful!

I just had a great time meeting Danielle and Lasha while I'm in San Diego. They are going to have an awesome wedding on Santorini island in Greece next summer. It will be a few days filled with close family and friends celebrating together. I'm really looking forward to meeting all of their family and taking photos of all of the fun!

I'm finally in the cool California weather. And right now I am enjoying a blended strawberry lemonade at Starbucks.

Coronado Island is definitely one of my favorite places in the San Diego area. I made the mistake of not looking for a place here early enough and I couldn't get a full week so we're going to be staying at a house in Mission Beach. Besides an engagement session today for Jennifer and Travis, this is really my first break since the chaos of the Arizona spring season.

I'm looking forward to spending time with my dad and brother as well as reflecting on the last few month. Its definitely time to write up some more goals.

I've been a little busy trying to pack for San Diego and I didn't have time to post a great photo yet but here is my new 2008 Scion xB. Its a Merlot color and has so much space for such a small car. I'll post a little more about it when I get to Cali. For now I need to finish my breakfast burrito so we can be on the road to SD.

July 4th Celebration

Yesterday I celebrated Independence Day with my friends Chris and Robin. Chris and I headed over to Robin's apartment to park our cars and then we walked over to Mill Ave in downtown Tempe, AZ for all of the festivities.

Our view was slightly blocked by the nearby buildings but we still had a great time watching the fireworks and then rushing indoors to cool off. The temperature was still 105 degrees at 9pm!

Heather is Moving

After many months of anticipation for their new home, my sister Heather and her husband Ryan are moving to New Braunfels, Texas. Their new home is now finished and ready for them to occupy.

There not much really going on in New Braunfels, but I am excited to come and visit Schlitterbahn, voted the World's Best Waterpark 9 years and running.

Heather will continue to work from Texas as our exclusive wedding album designer.
