    Another Beautiful Album

Another great album just arrived. It's hard for me to send these albums to my clients because they look so beautiful and I really just want to keep them around to remind me of the couple and my experience with them. Here are some photos of Kim and Jason's album.

They decided on an upgraded cover with two tones of leather.

A cameo image on the cover gives it a nice touch. This upgrade option is totally customizable and can include multiple images if you like.

We do all custom layouts and some pages include groups of images but my favorite pages are the ones that have one images spread across two pages.

Our albums include imprinting of your names on the cover or spine in silver or black.

And it wouldn't be finished without the wonderful JT logo to let everyone know who the wonderful photos are by. ;-)

    Flying to San Diego

Flying to San Diego, originally uploaded by Jefferson Todd.

I'm on my way to San Diego and southern California for the next 10 days. I'll be shooting two engagement sessions and make my way up to Santa Barbara for a day or two.
Its been a couple months since I've been in Cali and I'm super excited to get back there.
If anybody needs family photos taken this week just let me know and we can make it happen.

    Cheers!

    Austin Photographers

I headed up to Austin last night for a get together at Sarah and Jenn's new studio. It was so nice to be welcomed into Texas by a great group of photographers. A few people had already left by the time we took this photo, but here is a part of the group.

Shown below, in the front row, from L to R: Shannon, Lisa and me.
Back row, L to R: Sherry, Sarah, Bonnie, Jenn, and Tali
Also in attendance (but not in the photo) were Stacy and Stan, Brian and Mary Kate, Tyler, and Courtney

    Album Arrival

I'm so excited because a beautiful album arrived at my doorstep today. The album is for Tracy and Paul who were married in January.

We put a TON of work into our album designs and we also use the best custom album binders that we can find so that the entire album looks amazing as you can see here.

Tracy and Paul are going to love having this album as a reminder of their wedding day.

Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers at the Gruene Hall

Saturday night I headed to the Gruene Hall here in New Braunfels, TX to see a great Arizona band. Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers were great. You could tell they loved playing in small venues where they can play for hours.

Their new album Turbo Ocho is wonderful and is available in iTunes.

I stuck around for 2 1/2 hours of their show but it wouldn't surprise me if they played for at least another hour.

Gayle + Pat Wedding - Royal Palms Resort - Phoenix, AZ

Gayle and Pat were married last month at the Royal Palms Resort in Phoenix, AZ. An intimate group of friends joined them for the divine affair.

Gayle and a friend prepared at the Leiden Mitchell salon...

While Pat prepared by watching the Diamondbacks game next to his daughter's newly acquired teddy bear.

Gayle's short wedding dress and shoes were so cute!

I love this photo of Gayle heading down a set of stairs on her way to go see Pat for the first time that day.

    Here is there first meeting!

    The lovely couple

Pat and his daughter Ashley enjoying themselves as you can see.

I hadn't met Pat before the wedding but I was glad to know that he enjoyed making those around him laugh and have a great time.

The reception place cards were all done by a great calligrapher at the Royal Palms.

The ceremony was held in the Allegra Garden which is perfect for a small wedding.

Gayle was beautiful in her dress and her flowers were amazing thanks to Dianne at Table Tops Etc.

After the reception they served some good-looking specialty cocktails.

Gayle had all of her girlfriends there to celebrate with!

The reception was decked out with some amazing designs by Table Tops Etc. It was so cool to see them have free reign to be creative.

Oh, we can't forget the fireworks show at the end of the cocktail hour!

    The JT Pal Award

One of the funniest things that I received before moving was an old award that we would hand out when I worked at Starbucks. For those of you who don't know, my last name is Pals and of course I get the "You're a pal!" joke all the time. So in honor of my name there was an award created at our store that would be passed from one recipient to the next. There were no real rules for when the award would be passed along so it was always a surprise when it would show up in someone's box with a little note.

And in honor of my leaving I was awarded the JT Pal Award!

The award always included an undisclosed amount of change.

Watch out because one of you former Starbucks employees might just be getting the award passed along to you.

    Goodbyes

As I was busy packing for the move I was also able to enjoy seeing so many of my great friends before I left. Thanks to all of you for coming to wish me a good move. I'll be back often, I promise!

We had a few of the gatherings at one of my favorite restaurants and the best place in town for fish and chips, Rula Bula!

    London

We arrived in London to beautiful and rare blue skies. Matt and I both agreed that people should travel with us because we both bring great weather with us to wherever we visit.

Here is the parliament building with the famous clock tower housing the "Big Ben bell.

Matt and I visited the British Museum and the National Gallery (behind us) where we saw some great pieces by Rembrant, Monet and Van Gogh amongst many others.

While I wasn't in Ireland, I was still much closer than I had been before and so I had to see how the Guinness was. It was DELECTABLE!

My friend Ashley was my guide for a couple of London's secrets. She told me we had to visit Piāno a small piano bar. If you're in town over a weekend evening definitely go check it out with a group.

Our second day we hopped on one of those annoying tour buses and rode around the entire city. One of our stops was at the majestic St. Paul's Cathedral. The cathedral was one of my favorites sites to see in London.

The the view from the outside of the top tower was awe-inspiring. It seemed just as high as the London Eye which we decided to skip because of the cost.

We also passed under the famous Tower Bridge. This summer scaffolding will go up around the bridge as it undergoes a facelift before the 2012 Olympics.

The guards in front of Buckingham Palace wear those goofy looking hats. We didn't find one that we could take a picture next to but after further investigation you can go to St. James' Palace and just around the corner past the courtyard is a guard on his own that you can apparently stand next to. So if you're visiting London be sure to head over there for a photo op.

And as I mentioned before, both of the full days that we visited we had beautiful sunny days. Here at Hyde Park everyone was out playing football (soccer) and enjoying the weather.

Veronica + Stephen Wedding - Ashley Castle - Chandler, AZ

I've been looking forward to Veronica and Stephen's wedding for a while now. Both of them have been working at my favorite coffee shop Goldbar for years and we've always talked about photos way before they were ever engaged. Our big adventure was going over to California for a weekend for some fun photo in San Juan Capistrano and Newport Beach.

But it was finally time for them to get married!

    Veronica's amazing dress

    Veronica!

    Her bouquet was done beautifully.

Stephen is just hilarious in front of the camera and he never runs out of ideas.

It's almost time to make it official at their morning ceremony.

Veronica and her girls. Two of her sisters were in the wedding.

Stephen is protected by his four brothers and two great friends.

    The Bridal Party

    Veronica and her father

The whole bridal party in front of Ashley Castle.

Of course the only single brother now gets teased by all of the married guys.

Their wedding was so beautiful and a ton of fun, thanks guys!

    Featured in Wedding Chronicle

Allison and Anastacio's wedding from April 2007 was featured in the current issue of the Wedding Chronicle in the Phoenix area.

Here is a list of the vendors that made the day run so great even though we battled through a dust storm.

    More from Greece

I posted many of the wedding photos from my Greece trip but here are some of my photos from when my friend Matt and I visited Athens.

The city of Athens in general is a dirty city but it does have a beautiful area surrounding the Acropolis. Here is one of the walkways with open cafes along the side.

It's pretty amazing to see the old ruins with the entire city surrounding it. Here you can see the Temple of Hephaistos standing strong amongst the rest of the Agora.

From the Agora you can view the mighty Acropolis built upon its limestone bed. It is an amazing sight from below and I can only imaging the majestic presence that it had when it was completed. From the Acropolis you have a wonderful 360 degree view of Athens as it stretches on one side to the mountain and the other to the sea.

Here the Temple of Hephaistos stands on the hill overlooking the Agora.

The temple is the most complete of the buildings remaining at the Agora. Here are some of the 46 mighty columns.

And of course I had a wonderful cappuccino before we left Athens and headed for London.
