On Saturday I photographed Hakim proposing to Provia at the Royal Palms Resort. He had planned to ask her after they had dinner at T Cook’s and the Eric at the Royal Palms helped by having a wonderful dessert by candlelight setup at one of the cabana’s by the pool.

Provia was so surprised as you can tell.

The great desserts they had waiting for them.

Then I popped out from hiding for a photo to capture the occasion formally.

Congratulations on your engagement Hakim and Provia!

Scott was waiting for a group of family and friends to show up. As soon as they did, he dropped down to his knee and began to propose with family and friends around. Jennifer was so surprised.

There was plenty of champagne to celebrate with.

Hurray! She said YES!

All of the family and friends who arrived to celebrate with the happy couple.

Kyle had also planned for Shannon’s parents and a bunch of their co-workers to join them in celebrating at a nearby cabana.

I have another engagement that I’ll be photographing tonight so expect to see Part Two later on this evening or tomorrow.

This morning I photographed Ethan proposing to Jacqueline at the Royal Palms Resort. Ethan had received one of my proposal cards from the resort and we planned it so that I could hide away and secretly photograph it. Jacqueline had no idea that I was going to hand deliver a framed photograph of this special time while they had breakfast.

This is the photo that I delivered to them. I love being able to capture these moments.

On Friday I met up with Rachel and Eli for their engagement session. What I didn’t know until a week before was that Eli hadn’t yet officially asked Rachel to marry him. They had decided that if they wanted a Fall wedding that they would have to start planning everything.

So, Eli called me to let me know that he had the ring and that he wanted to ask her at the end of their engagement session. We met up at ASU and walked around taking a bunch of photos.

And then at the end of our time we stopped at the bench that they had first met at. They sat down and I could tell Eli was nervous. But after a short while he pulled out the ring and officially asked Rachel to marry him! She of course said YES!

Kevin received one of my new Proposal Cards which holds a $1000 value good for me to come and secretly capture the guy proposing. So, Kevin called me last week and we started planning out where he wanted to propose and where I could hide to take photos without her knowing I was there.

So we headed out to the Desert Botanical Gardens a few days before to find just the right place. And on Sunday afternoon he brought Dayna for a nice stroll in the gardens which is one of her favorite places to go. And when he reached the bridge in the middle of the garden, he asked Dayna.

So the story gets better…

After taking the photos I hopped into my car and chose my favorite print. I then printed, framed, and wrapped it up quickly.

Then I headed over Chelsea’s Kitchen, the restaurant that Kevin said they would be at.

I had one of the waitresses bring the package over to Dayna while I hid behind a table of very curious women who thought I was photographing a celebrity at first. I told them that Tom and Katie were out on the patio, but that idea was quickly shot down.

As soon as she saw my logo stickers on the back of the package she knew that I had take a photo. She turned to Kevin with a big smile of approval on her face.

After quickly searching the the restaurant with her eyes trying to find me she opened the package to find the nicely printed photo in a frame all ready for her to show off.

It didn’t take much longer for her to realize that something was going on at the nearby table of ladies who were all staring at her while I ducked down below the edge of the high-top table. She must have caught a glance of me because she got up from her seat and came around the table to give me a hug and “Thank you!”

It was also nice to hear her say, “Your going to photograph our wedding! I was going to call you anyways, but you’re definitely going to be our photographer now!”

And they’re wedding is going to be really sweet! They’re planning on having the ceremony at the Botanical Gardens and then the reception will be held at the Bentley Projects art gallery in downtown Phoenix.

Then Alvin showed up with Silvana blindfolded and walked her into the elevator where he proposed as it traveled to the top floor.
At the top I was there to capture a few pictures for them to remember this moment by.
